This year our studies will focus around high school content expectations for Biology. All studies are based around the content standards developed by the Michigan Department of Education.

Link to complete HS BIOLOGY Content Standards:

http://michigan.gov/documents/mde/
or the Michigan Biology content companion document at:
http://mi-science-biology-companion.wikispaces.com/

Look for Units of study, key vocabulary and the HS Biology content document link.
Lessons will be based on a curriculum that was developed using the conceptual framework offered by Grant Wiggins and Jay McTighe in “Understanding by Design” that encourages educators to "unpack" standards by focusing on the Big Ideas they represent and developing the Essential Questions students need to explore during the lesson or unit. This ensures units are focused on the expectations and what students should be able to know and do.

Current Lesson Activities:

Please call or email me for current lesson activities and homework or make up work.

REMINDER!  ANY UNFINISHED CLASSWORK IS HOMEWORK!
Also for homework everyday: students can review their mandatory science folder and practice key vocabulary term spelling and definitions.

STUDENTS DO NOT HAVE BOOKS.  THEREFORE ONLY OCASSIONALLY WILL HOMEWORK BE REQUIRED as a specific assignment.
