Energy Management Policy
The Beecher Board of Education has accepted an energy conservation plan to direct all employees of the district to be conservators of energy. Board Policy 8100 The Energy Management Conservation and Energy Management Plan will be a joint effort of shared responsibilities and adherence to guidelines from every staff member.
General guidelines consist of turning off unnecessary lighting, Closing classroom doors when heating and/or cooling system is on, turnoff unused machines/use machine energy saver modes, adjusting heating and cooling temperatures in unoccupied spaces, water conservation, ensure express repair of plumbing and roof leaks, enforcing ground watering restrictions. Teacher conversation with students will be implemented to embrace energy conservation.
