Today, our Bucs took on a fun and challenging team-building activity using strings, rings, and golf balls. These creative problem-solving tasks pushed students to collaborate, communicate, and build stronger relationships—all while having a blast! We are so proud of our students for their hard work, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Today’s activities challenged them to think critically and work together—building strong relationships and Buccaneer pride along the way

GISD is partnering with the Genesee County Career and College Access Network (GCCCAN) to host a free workshop to help students complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Thousands of dollars in financial aid for students in Genesee County go unclaimed every year. The GISD is working to ensure more students and families take advantage of the resources available that can help make college or post-high school education/training possible.
WHAT: FAFSA Workshop
WHEN: Wednesday, December 10, 2025 | 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

WHERE: GISD Erwin Davis Education Center – Entrance #3, 2413 Maple Road, Flint
This is a hands-on workshop available to assist those having difficulty navigating the FAFSA, so parents should plan to attend with their high school senior(s). A small number of devices will be available for use, but please bring your own device if possible. It is also helpful to create your Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID ahead of time by visiting www.FAFSA.gov. The FSA ID is required to access the FAFSA. Space is limited, so families are encouraged to register in advance for this workshop (see link above).

The Beecher Athletic Department is excited to announce our "2nd Annual Holiday Basketball Classic and Toy Drive". Gameday will be filled with contest and giveaways throughout the event! Last year, with the help from community donations and sponsorships we were able to purchase and distribute 500+ toys to local families! This year, we want to double that mark to maximize our impact on the Beecher community. Let's band together to ensure our families have the holiday they deserve!
