Congratulations to the late Roy Marble and his family from his Beecher Family. Yesterday, 2/22/22, the family watched as Roy Marble’s #23 was raised to the rafters at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City, Iowa. That’s right… Roy Marble’s jersey number has been retired at the University of Iowa; Let’s Go Hawks! Marble’s 2,116 points for Iowa was arecord held for 32 years, as Iowa’s all-time scoring leader. The record was just broken last year. Son Devyn said, “It’s something we always wanted to see happen. Of course, we wish he was still here to enjoy it himself. But everything happens in time.
