And when it comes to support, our Behavior Specialist/Support team — Mr. Marble and Mr. Dimitroff, Kyle — keep the building steady, the kids supported, and the staff encouraged (with just the right amount of “I got you” energy).

Add in the real talk from Adam, Ms. D, and Ms. Luster, and you’re reminded exactly why we do what we do. And yes… we still make time for goofy fun — especially during staff appreciation with Ole McDonald from our Early Head Start team bringing the laughs like it’s a talent show special.

Our Early Head Start Program brought learning to life with an exciting “Old MacDonald” socialization experience!

Students explored farm life through hands-on activities like animal puzzles, matching games, playdough creations, and a barn animal tent. 🐷🐄

The excitement continued with live baby chicks 🐥 and a chance to sit on a John Deere tractor 🚜—connecting classroom learning to the real world!

Anxiety can show itself in many ways—at school, in social settings, and at home. Understanding the signs early helps adults better support children’s emotional well‑being, academic success, and healthy relationships. M‑STEP stands for Michigan Student Test of Educational Progress.
These statewide assessments measure how well students are learning Michigan academic standards in English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Results help teachers and schools support student growth and achievement.

Recognizing Distinguished Leadership at Dailey Elementary
Beecher Community School District formally recognizes Ms. Debbie Harris, Parent Liaison at Dailey Elementary School (BCSD) for her exemplary leadership in developing and leading Grandparents and Grandfriends Day—a distinctive event proudly hosted only at Dailey Elementary. Mrs. Harris envisioned this initiative as an opportunity to honor grandparents and grandfriends as valued supporters of student success, broadening family engagement beyond traditional mother- and father-focused events.
Through purposeful planning, the event fostered meaningful intergenerational connections that promote wisdom, engagement, and a sense of belonging for students and families alike. The strong attendance, wonderful food, and community participation reflected the positive impact of Mrs. Harris’s efforts to include all family members, including “grandfriends” when grandparents were unavailable. Her leadership continues to strengthen school–community partnerships, and her vision for future growth—including expanded student involvement and a potential full-day experience—demonstrates her ongoing commitment to inclusive, family‑centered programming.
