Project‑based learning at Beecher Dailey Elementary ignites imagination and builds confidence, imagination creativity, and collaboration. When our scholars realize their ideas have no limits… they become unstoppable.

Early engineering experiences don’t require advanced math or complex formulas—they build mindsets, habits, and skills that shape how children learn and solve problems for the rest of their lives. Research across STEAM and engineering education strongly supports introducing engineering practices in the early grades.

Dailey Scholars develop critical early abilities such as:

  • Identifying problems and brainstorming solutions

  • Understanding cause and effect

  • Strengthening hand‑eye coordination through building

  • Practicing communication while explaining their designs

Beecher Community School District Celebrates Sloan Museum Partnership at Dailey Elementary

Beecher Community School District proudly announces a successful collaboration between Dailey Elementary and the Sloan Museum team, where students engaged in an interactive science activity to create rainbows. This hands-on experience deepened students’ understanding of how light and color interact to form the vibrant spectrum we see in nature.

"Our students were thrilled to see science come alive in such a creative way," said Mrs. Keith, a Dailey Elementary teacher. "Activities like this spark curiosity and make learning memorable."

The district extends its sincere gratitude to the Sloan Museum for their commitment to inspiring young minds and supporting science education in our community.
