Celebrating Beecher’s Fall Into Learning Intersession!
From October 27th through Halloween, Beecher Community School District came alive with learning, laughter, and hands-on exploration during our Fall Into Learning Intersession! Our dedicated team came together to deliver rigorous and engaging instruction in ELA, Social Studies, and STEAM, sparking curiosity and creativity in every student.
The week was filled with tactile activities that kept students energized and excited to learn. The grand finale—a spooky Haunted House experience—had students literally jumping out of their shoes with delight!

Beecher Community Schools Welcomes U.S. Representative Kristen McDonald Rivet Today, Beecher Community Schools had the honor of welcoming the Honorable Kristen McDonald Rivet, U.S. Representative for Michigan’s 8th District, to Beecher High School. She was joined by Superintendent Dr. Jendayi Gardner, school board members Marvin Smoot and Roshawnda Williams. Matt Rizik joined the group and a host of students and staff. Dr. Gardner warmly welcomed Representative Rivet to the Beecher High School Smart Lab and shared the district’s “Why, How, and What” vision for educational excellence. Stakeholders highlighted the transformative impact of cutting-edge technology—not only on their own roles but, most importantly, on student success and the future of the district. Students shared their experiences and aspirations related to the Smart Lab and the new Beecher High School, offering heartfelt insights into how these innovations are shaping their learning journey. Dr. Gardner then outlined the district’s Academic Action Plan, which includes: · A focus on School Success · Implementation of a viable curriculum · Introduction of a new instructional specialist · Emphasis on cooperative learning · A laser-like focus on data-driven instruction She also presented the district’s Student Experience Program of Study, which connects student coursework with career pathways and real-world learning. The visit continued with updates on the construction of the new Beecher High School. Before-and-after photos showcased the impressive progress being made toward a modern learning environment. The event concluded with a Q&A session, where Representative Rivet engaged directly with attendees, followed by a site visit to the new high school building. Beecher Community Schools extends its sincere gratitude to Representative Kristen McDonald Rivet for her support and contributions to the bright future of our district.
