Dailey Elementary School Family Newsletter

Goodbye December!

I cannot believe the end of December is here. When our students come back from break, they will begin their middle of the year iReady assessment. The iReady assessment informs us of their yearly progress. Please contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions concerning your child’s iReady scores.

We know that the holiday season is a hectic one, where people can be coming and going- always in a rush. However, as a community, we have to be sure that we are paying attention to what matters most - the safety of our children. That is why we wanted to take some time to remind our families of a few of the protocols we have in place to help us do so. We know that they may take a few extra moments, but in the end - they are worth the time they take.

  • First, please be prepared to answer a few important questions when entering your child’s school - and be prepared to show identification for the purpose of dismissing or speaking with your child.

  • All students are dropped off at the front doors in the morning and picked up outside at the end of the day.

  • Volunteers must have a volunteer packet and must be assigned to a specific place. Cafeteria volunteers must check in with Ms. Dixon, Classroom Volunteers must check in with office and teacher, Parent Room volunteers must check in with Ms. Harris. This is for the safety of our children. Times to volunteer must be set up at least a day in advance.
